When you're angry, offended, hurt, disappointed with someone, the other is not the problem.

The other person is never the problem.

The problem is our reaction.

To react peacefully:

  1. Take a breath.
  2. Don’t act.
  3. Examine the idea you have about how they should act.
  4. Toss your expectation into the ocean.
  5. Smile.
  6. Act with compassion.
